The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cambodia, aided by a local committee and supported by the French Embassy, organizes for the first time a “French Week” in Siem Reap, from 7 to 10 March, to promote the savoir-faire of French companies in Cambodia to the local and international public.
This French week, which will be inaugurated by H.E. Mrs. Eva Nguyen Binh, French Ambassador to Cambodia, will host a “French village” in the gardens of the Royal Residence next to the Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor.
During 4 days from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., 50 French companies and organizations of all sizes will showcase to Siem Reap’s inhabitants and visitors their savoir-faire combined with Cambodia’s savoir-faire, traditions and materials.
The French village will offer a wide variety of entertainment: an exclusive photo exhibition of the École française d'Extrême-Orient (French School of the Far East), cultural conferences, initiation to stone carving, French food stands, job and internship offers, a pétanque court, an open-air cinema, a modern dance show by a Cambodian company, a fashion show by night put together by local designers... The French Week will end with a popular ball.
