His Excellency Mr. Veng Sakhon, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Cambodia

With over 30 years of experience with the Royal Government of Cambodia, His Excellency Veng Sakhon become the Minister for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries since April 2016. Prior to this position, H.E. Veng Sakhon, served as Under-Secretary of State from 1998 to 2004, and Secretary of State of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology from 2004 to 2016.

H.E Veng Sakhon has also previously held various responsibilities with the Royal Government such as Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Irrigated Agriculture and Hydro-meteorology; Deputy Director of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (1993–96) where he was in charge of technical affairs and international co-operation; Vice Chief of the Office of Irrigation System Management, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries where he was in charge of technical affairs and international co-operation (1991–93); and Officer in charge of designing small-scale irrigation development under the Irrigation Management Office, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (1987–91).
