On September 26th 2017, EuroCham hosted the second “Cambodia-EU Business Dialogue”, an annual event intended to facilitate dialogue between the Royal Government and the private sector and to consider how to enhance the relationship between Cambodia and the European Union at the commercial level. The forum, presided over by His Excellency Sok Chenda Sophea of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, welcomed high-level representatives from a number of Ministries, embassies, and the private sector.
Key Takeaways from the Event
Topics covered included the results of EuroCham’s Business Confidence Survey 2017, and an update on the implementation of the Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025. The event also provided occasion for EuroCham to formally present to the Royal Government the “White Book 2017”, our latest set of trade and investment policy recommendations to address issues most commonly faced by our members. This 2017 edition includes detailed updates on each of the responses received from the Royal Government on issues raised last year. His Excellency Sok Chenda Sophea accepted the White Book on behalf of the Royal Government and assured EuroCham that our proposed reforms would be seriously considered.
