Professional Training Course: Design Thinking at Work

About this event

This is an experiential, applied practice of real-world problem-solving and project-management processes  using  Design Thinking and Lean/Kaizen frameworks. While this is a follow-up program to the previous Design Thinking for Managers, it is suitable for anyone interested in these frameworks and their practical application. After a brief introduction to the frameworks and how they are used, participants will form teams to tackle, complex problems and challenges regularly faced in their workplaces, putting these skills to use and learning through practice.

Who is this program for?

In the busy, rapidly changing business landscape of today, organisations face many challenges, such as:

1. Persistent, “Wicked” problems: Are you bothered by problems that won’t go away? Are you putting off
addressing issues because you don’t see easy solutions?

2. Time is short, while challenges mount: Do you feel there aren’t enough hours in the day to address all
your tasks? Do you feel overwhelmed by demands for your time and attention?

3. Communication is difficult: Do you have a hard time getting your messages across to colleagues, bosses
and customers? Do you feel you spend most of your day writing messages and feel frustrated that you
don’t have time to do “real work”?

4. We Need New Ideas, yet no ideas come forth: Do you feel “creativity” is a foreign word? Are you frustrated
that you keep trying the “tried-and-true” ways of solving problems without seeing results?

This program is for:

  • Entrepreneurs
