The Cambodian tax system has undergone significant reforms in recent years, with continuous improvements in tax administration, digitalisation, audit procedures, and compliance requirements. While these reforms have strengthened tax governance and enhanced transparency, they have also introduced new obligations and practical challenges for businesses, particularly in understanding and implementing the latest regulations.
The textile, apparel, footwear and travel goods (GFT) sector remains Cambodia’s largest export industry and one of its biggest employers. Maintaining tax compliance while ensuring business competitiveness is therefore essential for sustaining investment, supporting economic growth, and preserving Cambodia’s attractiveness as a manufacturing destination.
To support this objective, the Textile, Apparel, Footwear & Travel Goods Association in Cambodia (TAFTAC), in collaboration with the General Department of Taxation (GDT), is organising the Tax Forum 2026. The Forum will serve as a practical platform for constructive dialogue between the tax authority, tax professionals and the private sector to improve understanding of tax obligations, address common implementation issues, share practical experiences, and promote voluntary compliance.
