Inventory and Supply Chain management is the process of handling inventory and related tasks within a warehouse and during transit. Inventory management deals with managing stock for the whole business and forecasting business trends. Logistics management plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective forward and reverse flow and storage of goods and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer and legal requirements. Also, logistics management controls processes inside a company (warehouse logistics) and outside a company. Besides logistics service providers, inventory is a critical part of any organisation (private, public, or NGO) that works with products, parts, or materials. Whatever techniques or tools an organisation uses, inventory management will be part of their supply chains.
