Details

Within ASEAN, barriers to trade in goods and services are falling and tax rates on international transactions are dropping. These two developments can fuel your regional growth and support expansion plans. However, these opportunities can also turn into threats as your competitors from other countries use these same factors to enter your territory and take market share.

Our speaker, Jude Ocampo, helped listeners to understand the factors that are leading to the steady regionalization of business in ASEAN and widen the scope of context including the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement, the ASEAN Services Framework, ASEAN’s tax treaty network and updates on changing tax regimes in ASEAN.

About the speaker:
Jude Ocampo, Deputy Head, Regional Tax Practice Group and Head of Cambodia Tax Practice Group, DFDL, has over 14 years of experience in both private practice and government. He specializes in corporate law and international tax with focus on cross-border transactions, corporate restructuring, and foreign direct investments. Jude holds a Bachelor of Laws (University of the Philippines College of Law), a Master of Laws (Harvard Law School, USA) and a Master of Business Administration (University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School) degrees.
