Details

EuroCham and ARISE+ Cambodia are pleased to invite you to the sixth “SME Export Talk” event on Friday, June 17th at 8:30 AM at the Raintree Cambodia.

The forum, titled “SME Need to Know: Certificate of Origin (CO) & FTAs” will help familiarize companies with the ideas behind what exactly a CO is, how to get one, and how they can provide benefits for exporting companies.

Some reduced tariffs provided by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) are only available with proper certificates of origin, making this a very relevant topic for those SMEs hoping to benefit from such free trade agreements (FTAs).

At the workshop, we will be joined by the Director of the Import-Export Department at the Ministry of Commerce Mr. UN Chantha will describe COs and provide a step-by-step guide for companies hoping to obtain one.

Next, Deputy Director of the Asia-Pacific Department at the Ministry of Commerce Mr. HOK Sothea will cover FTAs and why obtaining a CO is crucial to realising their benefits.

To close out the session, an SME representative will describe their experience obtaining a CO and how it enabled them to break into a foreign export market.

The event will close with a panel discussion and Q&A session for participants to raise points of concern with our panelists regarding the international trade document.
