Job Description | RBH Coordinator (National or International)
In light of the new international standards deriving from new European mandatory laws on human rights and environment due diligence (HREDD), companies are required to ensure due diligence
throughout their entire value chains inside and outside Europe.
EuroCham, within the IGS project and with the support of GIZ FABRIC, created the first Responsible Business Hub in Cambodia as information/ advisory/ support desk to improve the ability of the garment sector and other relevant sectors (agriculture, construction, tourism etc.) to understand and
prepare for such new HREDD legislation.
Specifically, the RBH (i) supports buyers and suppliers in Cambodia to set up due diligence processes; (ii) will provide information and awareness on due diligence standards; (iii) helps businesses to
connect with local service providers and sustainability initiatives.
The RBH is integrated into the EuroCham Cambodia office.
EuroCham is seeking for a Responsible Business Hub Coordinator, who will have a strong interest in the area described above, with experience of working within the sustainability field. He/She will work
closely with other EuroCham team members and will to the services department coordinator and executive director of Eurocham. His/her role will involve liaising with the various EuroCham
departments under the direction of the EuroCham leadership team.
The Responsible Business Hub Coordinator will play an active role in developing the RBH’s strategy by
implementing the following activities:
- to organize and facilitate information and awareness campaigns (e.g. webinars, publications, etc.) about Due Diligence (DD) and new regulatory aspects for local businesses and other important stakeholders
- To organize and facilitate Public-Private Dialogue events on specific DD topics and other RBH events/initiatives according to the RBH Technical Proposal
- to organize and facilitate training sessions on specific ESG/DD topics and processes
- to identify relevant stakeholders and explore partnerships opportunities
- to upgrade the RBH Website and sections/contents therein
- to contribute to the marketing activities to advertise RBH services
- to provide initial and basic advisory services about ESG/DD standards, current legislative changes in export markets
- to connect interested companies with qualified local service providers, by using the existing RBH Directory of service providers supporting the transition to more responsible business practices
- to record RBH services enquiries and collect and analyze relevant data
- to represent the RBH at internal and external events
- to improve the existing services of the RBH according to the demand
- to perform other related duties as required
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Advanced university degree in communication, social or political sciences, law, human rights, international relations, sustainability or other relevant field
- At least 3 years of experience in consultancy, providing advisory services and client support
- Experience in working in the sustainability/CSR/ESG field
- Working experience in the sustainability field in Cambodia is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in public speaking and experience in conducting events (e.g. workshops, seminars, panels etc.)
- Fluency in oral and written English, knowledge of Chinese is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to cultivate relationships across varying levels of seniority, internally and externally
- Excellent time management skills, with an ability to set priorities and track progress good team player, quick to pick up new skills and eager to improve and learn from others
