Job Description

Role Title: Finance and Administration Officer
Role Description: The Finance and Administration Officer will ensure that there is thorough monitoring of day-to-day administrative tasks, take responsibility for the timely entry of all data entries exercising due care, and liaise with all suppliers and vendors to oversee the payment of invoices. This position will report directly to the Finance and Administration Manager.

Unit: Operations Team
Direct supervisor: Finance and Administration Manager
Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Term: 6 months contract with potential to extend. Fixed duration contract type with full-time basis or 5 days/ week.
Remuneration package: US$8.4k - US$10.5k per annum. Family allowance (small increase for children under the age of 6 if applicable). US$ 250 training allowance, NSSF and Group Person Accident (GPA) insurance provided. 40 days of annual leave including public holiday period.
Start date: July 1st, 2020 or as soon as possible

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance management support:

  • Fundamental understanding of financial statements - balance sheet, profit and loss, and trial balance. 
  • Assist with controlling the flow of funds through the organization’s bank accounts.

Accounting system:

  • Knowledge of the workings of an accounting system.
  • Daily processing of all accounting entries into the Quick-books system.
  • Work directly with the Finance and Admin Manager to create and adopt more efficient and effective finance management tools.

Accounts payable and receivable:

  • Prepare vouchers and arrange payment (cash) for all bills and expenses.
  • Prepare invoices for accounts receivables.
  • Maintain receipts and payments tracking system.
  • Production of Aged Analysis Report.
  • Responsible for all payment collections - follow-up on all unpaid and overdue amounts.  

Administrative Management

  • Assist control and processing of travel claims.
  • Prepare monthly taxes declaration to GDT and monthly NSSF payment.
  • Coordinate and support team on logistical matters (e.g. travel arrangements).
  • Maintain effective filing system.
  • Assist managing day-to-day office related expenditures.
  • Manage petty cash and payments to building related expenses.
  • Manage relationships and building administration processes with the landlord and manager.
  • Liaison with governments, local authorities and relevant Ministries of Cambodia.
  • Assist with other administration tasks including liaison with the Corporate Secretary.
  • Manage the organization asset and inventories.
  • Logistic arrangement and other administration tasks base on required.

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration or Finance, 
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, and administration,
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in similar role, preferably with an international organization,
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and Outlook,
  • Good interpersonal skills and commitment,
  • Good English communication skills are required, both speaking and written.
  • Ability to communicate proficiently in spoken and written English and Khmer,
  • Capacity to work in teams, as well as taking own initiatives and work independently,
  • Knowledge of an accounting system (QuickBooks),
  • Personal maturity and social skills,
  • Good administrative skills and well-organized.
