Our diverse project portfolio covers the public, private, commercial, and industrial sectors. JEB Surveys and Engineering is seeking a skilled coastal engineer to join our team.

Position

The Coastal Engineer – Senior has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with at least five to ten years of work experience in mid or senior-level design positions in the study and design of civil and coastal infrastructure such as ports, jetties, harbors, marinas, bank protection, breakwaters, etc. Experience in structural engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Review existing documents and confirm layouts, alignments, siting, and more according to design inputs such as bathymetric data, geotechnical data, hydrographic data.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines such as geotechnical engineers, wastewater engineers, MEP engineers, and others.
Lead and oversee a design team to produce infrastructure designs from concept until detailed engineering designs.
Ensure design options and supporting documentation takes into consideration various factors such as budgets, feasibility, climate change, environmental conditions, and more.
Plan for and manage required design inputs.
