BACKGROUND
EuroCham Cambodia was founded in 2011 by the existing French, German and British business associations to act as the official chamber of the European business community in the Kingdom. Since then, it has grown to over 425 members and 7 national chapters, comprising 23 European countries. EuroCham Cambodia's core activities are to promote, support, and represent its members and European business interests in dialogue with the Royal Government of Cambodia, with the aim of developing a more efficient and fertile business and investment environment. In addition to these core activities, EuroCham can facilitate further services to its members by capitalising on the expertise of their in-house communications, events, and services teams.
Job Summary:
EuroCham Cambodia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Event Officer to join our team. The Senior Event Officer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events aimed at fostering business networking, keeping our members informed of the latest development in their respective industries, and enhancing member engagement. This role requires strong leadership skills to supervise a junior event coordinator and ensure the successful delivery of both internal and external events, including client-based “event as a service” projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage EuroCham’s events from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with agenda, branding, protocol & budget.

Coordinate all logistical aspects of events including venue selection, vendor negotiation, catering, audiovisual, registration, on-site execution and sponsorship seeking.

Develop proposals and act as the primary point of contact for external clients who engage EuroCham for “event as a service” projects, ensuring clear communication, professional service delivery, and client satisfaction.

Prepare and manage event timelines, budgets, and post-event evaluations/reporting. Ensure all relevant documentation necessary for financial processing is completed.

Build and maintain strong relationships with event sponsors, vendors, and key partners.

Collaborate with Communications & Design teams regarding materials related to communication and event promotion across newsletters & social media.

Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in event management to continually improve EuroCham’s offerings.

Supervise and mentor a junior event coordinator, ensuring quality control and delegation of responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.

3–5 years of professional experience in event planning and execution, preferably in a corporate or membership-based setting.

Experience working in a client-facing role, with the ability to interpret client needs and deliver tailored event solutions.

Excellent organisational and project management skills with keen attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & event planning tools.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple events simultaneously.

Fluency in English & Khmer. Another European language is an asset.
Additional skills wanted:

Familiarity with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva and/or AI tools

Experience with Virtual and hybrid event formats

Knowledge of sustainable event practices
