Job Description

Job Summary: 

EuroCham Cambodia is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Event Officer to support the planning and execution of a wide range of events including conferences, networking receptions, business forums, and client-based “event as a service” projects. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of relevant experience who is eager to grow in the field of event management within an international, fast-paced environment. The Junior Event Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Event Officer and collaborate closely with other departments. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of EuroCham events, ensuring smooth logistical preparation and execution. 

  • Support the Senior Event Officer with pre-event tasks including venue scouting, supplier coordination, event materials preparation, and registration setup. 

  • Be actively involved in the on-site execution of events, including setup, guest reception, and troubleshooting. 

  • Contribute to event promotion by liaising with the Communications team on content, visuals, and guest lists. 

  • Manage participant registrations, compile attendance lists, and provide front-line support to attendees and clients. 

  • Help gather quotations and coordinate bookings. 

  • Assist in collecting feedback and preparing post-event reports and financial documentation. 

  • Provide administrative support including invoice tracking, petty cash reporting, and maintaining event records. 

  • Represent EuroCham professionally during events and support external “event as a service” projects where required.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Communications, or a related field. 

  • 1–2 years of experience in event coordination or support, preferably in a corporate, hospitality, or international organization setting. 

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. 

  • Good communication skills in English & Khmer. 

  • Ability to multitask, follow directions, and work independently when needed. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends during events.
