On 26th January 2022, EuroCham Cambodia partnered with our sister chamber, EuroCham Myanmar to deliver a webinar on “European Businesses in Myanmar: an Update During a Challenging Period“.

During the webinar, EuroCham Myanmar’s Head of Policy and Strategy delivered an overview of Myanmar across four pillars: political, economic, security and health (Covid-19). This was followed by a presentation on the latest EuroCham Myanmar Business Sentiment Survey, delivered by their Chairman, which summarised the challenges faced by its members, and optimistically, that 83% of those surveyed planned to maintain operations in the country.

The webinar concluded with a Q&A, moderated by Tom Hesketh, of EuroCham Cambodia, where participants questions covered topics such as taxation, logistics, USD-MMK exchange, as well as general trends in FDI.
