Dear Members, Partners, and Friends,
As we close 2025 and look ahead to the year before us, let’s take a moment to reflect on what has been a defining year for EuroCham Cambodia.
I would like to thank our members, partners, and supporters for their continued trust and engagement. In a year shaped by economic uncertainty, the ongoing Thai–Cambodian conflict, and operational pressures for many businesses, EuroCham has continued to serve as a strong, credible, and constructive voice for the European business community in Cambodia. I am also proud to share that our membership has grown to over 450 members, the highest in EuroCham’s history.
2025 was a year of sustained and practical engagement for EuroCham, marked by two Cambodia–Europe Public-Private Sector Dialogues (PPSD) that strengthened our dialogue with the Royal Government of Cambodia. We made significant progress at PPSD3, where EuroCham helped consolidate business perspectives into clearer, policy-relevant positions and follow-up next steps.
Committee-led advocacy supported this work across key areas. In taxation, members raised priorities linked to compliance clarity and audit practices. In transport and logistics, we focused on customs procedures and supply-chain reliability, including the need for diversification and resilience. Work on the green economy and renewable energy addressed regulatory consistency and investment conditions, while engagement on infrastructure and investment contributed to broader discussions on efficiency and long-term development. Automotive regulation also remained a focus as standards and market requirements continue to evolve.
Alongside external engagement, we refocused our committee roadmaps and our advocacy and events calendar. We also welcomed the new Education Working Group, which contributed to the EU Education Fair and opened a platform for engagement on skills and human capital priorities, an area that deserved stronger representation within EuroCham.
Like many organisations, EuroCham has operated under financial and operational constraints in recent years. Thanks to the work of the previous Board of Directors and our executive team, we entered 2025 on a much stronger footing, with renewed capacity to focus on delivering value to members. This renewal has been supported by tools such as the Advocacy Compass, structured Business Pulse surveys, a brand new 2026 website, and ever-growing social media engagement. This is helping make EuroCham more transparent, accessible, and impactful for our members.
Member engagement remained at the heart of our work in 2025. Through high-level policy forums, sector-focused events, and networking events, including our first-ever Gala celebrating 15 years, EuroCham continued to bring together businesses, policymakers, and partners. EU Week, national chapter initiatives, and flagship forums showcased the strength and diversity of our community, while creating practical opportunities for connection and collaboration.
As we move into 2026, our priorities are clear. We will continue to strengthen advocacy and policy engagement, particularly on administrative reform, reducing red tape, trade and logistics, sustainability, and digitalisation. We will work to ensure EuroCham remains inclusive and relevant not only to large corporations, but also to SMEs and new market entrants. And we will continue to professionalise our internal operations so that the Chamber is fit for the challenges ahead.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the EuroCham team, whose commitment and professionalism keep the Chamber running every day, often under demanding circumstances. I also thank the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for their guidance, expertise, and renewed engagement throughout the year.
My warmest wishes to you and your loved ones for a happy and healthy New Year. May 2026 bring you clarity, momentum, and success, both personally and professionally.
Gabriele Faja, EuroCham Chairperson
