EU Delegation’s Youth Day
EuroCham Cambodia Deputy Director Tom Hesketh gave a short speech at the EU Delegation’s Youth Day Thursday morning, encouraging local university students to take charge in shaping Cambodia’s image for the international community.
While many simply associate Cambodia with Angkor Wat, he said it’s time Cambodia presents itself as a dynamic country with high growth potential, powered by a young, educated population eager to make a positive impact.
The EU's Youth Day also served as the launch of the Cambodian Youth Sounding Board, a 15-member group of selected Cambodian youths that will have the chance to help design and implement EU delegation initiatives.
Interested youths (ages 19-25) can apply for board membership at European Union in Cambodia between May 30 and June 29.
