Soundskool and KMH Foundation Launch Music Scholarship in Cambodia
We are proud to announce the official signing of an MoU between Soundskool Music and the KMH Foundation, marking a major step forward in our mission to expand access to high-quality music education in Cambodia.
A Partnership Rooted in Purpose
Through this collaboration, Soundskool and the KMH Foundation are launching comprehensive music scholarship programs to support talented Khmer students. The MoU establishes a strong framework for funding partners to engage in meaningful CSR initiatives, with a focus on families, education, youth, the arts, and music development.
With the support of external corporate and individual sponsors, this partnership provides full scholarships that cover tuition, learning materials, supervised practice, and opportunities to perform publicly. This is where you can get involved!
KMH Foundation, the CSR arm of ISI Group, will ensure transparency and compliance in fund management, while Soundskool will oversee program delivery across its Phnom Penh and Siem Reap campuses. Together, both organizations are committed to building a pipeline of future musicians, performers, and music educators.
Each scholarship is part of a direct sponsorship model, pairing sponsors with individual students for greater accountability and impact.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Gabriele Faja, CEO of Soundskool, and Mr. Chrin Sovann, Operations Director of KMH Foundation. It represents a shared vision for Cambodia where music is not a luxury but a tool for education, confidence, and connection.
We are excited for the journey ahead and grateful for the trust and collaboration of our partners at the KMH Foundation.
Together, we are creating pathways for young Cambodians to learn, perform, and grow through music. We are now seeking companies and individuals to join this fantastic program and provide the gift of music to everyone.
My commitment to music and the arts stems from a fundamental belief: a well-rounded education is the bedrock of individual fulfillment and societal progress.
In a world that often feels overwhelmingly fast-paced, music offers me a vital space for intellectual refuge in a sea of constant change. I've seen firsthand how the process of learning an instrument cultivates indispensable skills - the discipline to practice consistently, the perseverance to overcome challenges, the analytical thinking required to interpret complex pieces, and the creative expression that fosters innovation.
These are not merely artistic pursuits, they are cornerstones human development that equip individuals with the adaptability and resilience needed to thrive in any endeavor.
Soundskool CEO , Mr. Gabriele Faja
I am truly honored to witness the signing of this meaningful Memorandum of Understanding between KMH Foundation and Soundskool. This partnership is a powerful step toward creating real opportunities for young talents who are passionate about music but may lack the resources to pursue it.
At KMH Foundation, we believe in the power of education, creativity, and equal opportunity. Through this collaboration, we aim to connect students with private sector partners who share our values and are willing to invest in the future of Cambodian youth through music scholarships.
This MOU is more than just a formal agreement — it’s a commitment from our hearts to empower the next generation, to nurture dreams, and to bring music into the lives of those who need it most. I look forward to seeing the positive impact this initiative will bring to our community.
KMH Foundation Director, Mr. Chrin Sovann
