Working Group D Meeting of the Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF)
During yesterday’s Working Group D (Law, Tax and Governance) meeting of the Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF), chaired by Mr. Arnaud DARC, we were proud to have a large delegation of EuroCham members and partners presenting the majority of the issues and recommendations for consideration by the Royal Government. The discussions centered around support for the tourism sector (tax exemptions and a wide set of financial support measures), fostering the telecom sector in Cambodia and the roll-out of 5G, the situation of the alcohol industry and the hazards of the ongoing alcohol ban, as well as a wide range of technical tax-related issues, such as the interest rate on loans between related parties. Recently, EuroCham has also made economic recovery- and other policy recommendations to the Royal Government, which included some of these topics as well. Through various advocacy channels and the work of our sectorial committees, we aim to improve Cambodia’s business climate for all entrepreneurs, regardless of their industry or company size.
