On Wednesday 16th February 2022, EuroCham Cambodia hosted a webinar on The Annual Tax Declaration Obligations: Practical tips and tricks with the honorable attendance of H.E Dr. Eng Ratana, Director of Large Taxpayer Department from the General Taxation Department of Cambodia (GDT) as our speaker.

H.E. Dr. Eng Ratana gave an informative presentation on the annual tax declaration obligations with four main emphases on vision and mission, reforms of the general department of taxation (tax administration reforms, tax policy reforms), annual tax declaration, and key issues for preparing an annual tax return. He also explained how GDT dealt with the Covid-19 issue regarding tax payment by implanting the online system to facilitate all taxpayers, moreover GDT offered various types of tax training to infuse the tax knowledge to the public so that the implementation of the regulations come to effect rapidly.

An engaging roundtable discussion proceeded with Mr. Noë Schellinck, EuroCham Advocacy Manager as the moderator alongside the remarkable panelists H.E Dr. Eng Ratana, Mr. Chhay Cheaheng, Deputy Director of Large Taxpayer Department (GDT), Mr. Chuor Se, Deputy Director of Enterprise Audit Department (GCDT), Mr. Traing Lay, Chief of Bureau of the Enterprise Audit Department (GDT), Mr. Chum Socheat, Co-Chairman of EuroCham Tax Committee and Tax Manager at R&T Sok&Heng Law Office.
