On 17 August 2021, EuroCham hosted the 2nd session of its five Tax Tuesdays this summer, welcoming over 170 attendees to discuss “Tax Audits”.

In this webinar session, we started with introductory remarks by Mr. CHUM Socheat, Co-Chair of EuroCham Tax Committee and Tax Manager at R&T Sok & Heng Law Office. Then, our first speaker Ms. MOM Rinsey Tola, Associate Director, Tax & Corporate Services at KPMG Cambodia provided our attendees with a walkthrough on the various types of tax audits and the specifics of the tax audit procedures. She shared useful tips and tricks for companies to prepare themselves before, during and after a tax audit, especially during the COVID-19 period. Our second speaker Mr. Clint O’CONNELL, Partner & Head of the Cambodia Tax Practice Group at DFDL Legal and Tax Services, addressed the top five of most common tax audit issues in different areas, notably discounted goods/services, transfer pricing, loans and interest, withholding taxes and reconciliation issues.

The session ended with a 30 minutes interactive panel discussion and live Q&A session with the participants. Thank you everyone for the great interaction and many interesting questions!
